Meet Coach Tony

I love running, but I haven't always been a runner.

I only found running when I decided to change my relationship with fitness in 2010. On my journey of losing 150 pounds, I gained a love for this sport. I remember running my first full mile without stopping in 2011. I remember running my first 4-mile race in the pouring rain and training for my first half-marathon in 2012. I remember crossing the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2014. Over the years, I have collected race medals from over 50 half marathons, 8 full marathons, and dozens of shorter runs and relays. But I don't run for the bling. I run because it challenges me, builds strength, takes me outside to incredible places, and introduces me to incredible people. Running helps my brain, helps my heart, helps my lungs, helps me. And, in return, I love to help running help you.

I am a certified fitness instructor, a certified running coach and a former Senior Instructor at Barry’s. I have trained over a dozen race teams (including 1000+ runners) for various distances. Running is my passion and my goal is to help others find the satisfaction, release and accomplishment that can come from running. My favorite clients are those who say "I'm not a runner" and then, through proper and smart training, become "a runner." I genuinely believe that running should not be an exclusive community - if you have the privilege to run, give it a shot because I bet you are stronger than you know.
